1,385 tourniquets delivered to Ukraine: medical supplies sent from Okayama

Alongside shipping ambulances and fire engines, NPO EURASIA sends tourniquets and other medical supplies to Ukraine. So far we have sent 1,385 tourniquets. They were bought with your donations and the proceeds of charity events.
What is a tourniquet?
A tourniquet is a device wrapped around an arm or leg and tightened to stop heavy bleeding. It keeps people injured by shelling or explosions alive until they can be taken to a hospital. It is used not only by paramedics but also by bystanders at the scene.
From purchase to delivery
We buy medical supplies from Accord International Co., Ltd. (Tokyo), a Japanese distributor of emergency and lifesaving equipment. Our first purchase, in December 2022, was 62 chest seals for sealing chest wounds. Since then, each time donations have come in, we have bought more tourniquets and hemostatic agents and sent them to Ukraine.
The supplies are used in areas that continue to suffer from the fighting. Donations entrusted to us by schools in Okayama Prefecture also went toward these purchases.
A letter of appreciation from Ukraine
In June 2025, we received a letter of appreciation from the commander of Ukrainian military unit A5046, which had received, through a medical nonprofit in Ukraine, some of the tourniquets we sent.

For the next ambulance and more tourniquets
Tourniquets are still needed in Ukraine. Your donations pay for delivering ambulances and fire engines to Ukraine, and for medical supplies such as tourniquets. Donations start at ¥100.
