Could your retired ambulances and fire engines serve again in Ukraine?
Ambulances and fire engines that were due for replacement are once again protecting lives in Ukraine. NPO EURASIA has delivered vehicles donated by municipalities in Okayama Prefecture to municipalities in Ukraine. So far we have sent out 14 vehicles in 5 shipments: 4 ambulances and 10 fire engines.
Municipalities that have donated vehicles
Vehicles have been donated by the cities of Maniwa, Kurashiki, Kasaoka, Tsuyama and Akaiwa and by the Kasaoka District Fire Department Association. They have gone to towns in Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, Mykolaiv and Khmelnytskyi Oblasts. The donor and destination of each shipment, and the records published by Okayama Prefecture and Ukrainian municipalities, are collected on our Transparency page.
The agreement between Okayama Prefecture and the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan
On August 16, 2024, Okayama Prefecture and the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan signed a memorandum on providing fire-service vehicles and other equipment. On January 17, 2025, the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan designated us as an organization that handles the procedures for shipping abroad the emergency vehicles provided by municipalities in Okayama Prefecture.
From donation to delivery
We handle the export procedures, ocean shipping and handover in Ukraine for the vehicles you donate. Every shipment has been sent with an export permit. Delivering one vehicle to Ukraine costs about ¥1.5 million in transport and procedures, which we cover with donations from our supporters.
We report where the delivered vehicles are now in use in our Activity reports, based on announcements by the receiving municipalities and our own checks.
Who to contact
