How to donate

How can I donate to the Embassy of Ukraine now?

The Embassy of Ukraine in Japan closed the account it used to receive donations on February 20, 2025. After many people asked how they could keep helping, the embassy used its official X account to introduce organizations established as nonprofits in Japan that continue to support Ukraine. NPO EURASIA of Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, was introduced as one of them.

Because each organization does different work, the embassy asks donors to check each organization’s website and other information before choosing where to give. This page explains what NPO EURASIA does and how your donation is used.

What NPO EURASIA does

We deliver ambulances and fire engines donated by municipalities in Okayama Prefecture to municipalities in Ukraine. So far we have delivered 14 vehicles. We also send medical supplies such as tourniquets.

On August 16, 2024, Okayama Prefecture and the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan signed a memorandum on providing fire-service vehicles and other equipment. On January 17, 2025, the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan designated us as an organization that handles the procedures for shipping abroad the emergency vehicles provided by municipalities in Okayama Prefecture.

How donations are used

Your donations pay for delivering ambulances and fire engines to Ukraine, and for medical supplies such as tourniquets. Delivering one vehicle to Ukraine costs about ¥1.5 million in transport and procedures. Our record so far and how donations are used are on our Transparency page.

How to donate

You can donate by card (Stripe) on our donation page. Amounts are in US dollars. You can choose a one-time or a monthly donation. We also accept bank transfers. Please note that we are not a certified NPO corporation, so donations are not eligible for the Japanese tax deduction for donations.

Our record of being introduced on the embassy’s official X account, with a screenshot of the post, is in this news article.
