[Activity reports](https://npoeurasia.org/en/category/report/)September 5, 2025About 2 min readListen # A fire engine has arrived in Ukraine ![Ukrainian fire service members holding a banner as they receive a fire engine from Japan](https://npoeurasia.org/img/p-97e74bdfeb-960.dddd3a4a03.webp) The following message was posted by the city of Sokyriany. > 🇺🇦🇯🇵 **Humanitarian aid from Japan arrives in the Sokyriany hromada** 🚒 A small Toyota fire engine donated by residents of Tsuyama, Okayama Prefecture, was recently delivered to the Sokyriany hromada. ![Fire engine with an “International contribution from Okayama” sticker](https://npoeurasia.org/img/p-c7fad79ae0-960.77c04e31e6.webp) 🤝 This was part of the “Community to Community” project run by the Embassy of Ukraine in Japan, and was made possible by logistics support from NPO EURASIA. 💬 Mayor Kozak said, “The vehicle is in excellent condition and will be a valuable resource for improving residents’ safety. It will strengthen the capacity of the local fire brigade and could play a decisive role in rapid response.” ![Small red fire engine donated from Tsuyama](https://npoeurasia.org/img/p-cdcbf19ccb-960.6ec9507c66.webp) ☝️ The vehicle has no water tank, but it is equipped with a pump, which makes it important, practical aid that greatly strengthens the community’s material and technical resources. 🔹 The humanitarian aid was received by First Deputy Mayor Ivan Hanhal and by representatives of a hromada in Kharkiv Oblast that has also received humanitarian aid from Japan.
